“Hospitality, food, rooms - excellent by any standard. Dieder and his staff make you feel very welcome. For Americans or other NATO personnel doing business nearby, Pfaelzer-Stuben has advantages over competitors on the bases. You can enjoy a German small-village experience 15 minutes away. You have excellent hiking/walking trails, and his restaurant attracts travelers AND locals. You don't feel like an outsider, but are really welcome. Dieder's English is superb, so you can do just fine if you speak little or no Deutsch (German). The food is the real thing---very reasonable and homemade. After a couple good German beers or schnapps, you can walk to your room. No need to drive---it's all in Pfälzer-Stubin. Finally, very clean rooms with an Alpine-feel. The apartment is big with three separate rooms (2 singles and a double) sharing a hall, WC, and shower. Kids and dogs are welcomed like family! Danke schön, Dieder!”
