“A very special place. Loved being in a small village but close to Zamora. Sat nav is your best guide. The owners are very proud, passionate and welcoming. The room and decor are fabulous; the breakfast varied and plentiful. We enjoyed drinks at the bar they have in the village and then dinner at their restaurant. Huge, melt in the mouth veal. Walk down to the bodega deep underground. So many relics on display. Every room in the casa has been tastefully decorated in theme. We were proudly shown each one.Don't be put off by communication challenges - Google translate and gestures are your friend. We had a wonderful stay !!! Great memories. ”
“"We chose this location on return route to Santander from Lagos for our Biker Group. Originally, we had intended to pitch up at a decent hour (approx 2000 hrs) with the intention of partaking of the excellent evening cuisine...although after indulging in the curves and a breakdown en route we actually arrived very late at 2330 hrs! Even then we were still 0.2 miles away owing to Satnav error...the Owners and Ingles speaking Daughter actually drove out to escort us in our hour of need! The Folks are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble! They offered off street parking for our Bikes. Their Rooms were spacious, and authentically decorated. A veritable feast awaited us for breakfast...impressive spread. Would definitely visit again in future!”
“Great welcome from Therese. Situated close to the motorway this was an ideal stop. A traditional old Spanish house with a large modern extension run by a family who have lived there for several generations. The owners also owned the Antigua Bodega just across the square from their hotel where they cooked delicious food on a wood fire. Try their special lamb cutlets, absolutely delicious. The weather was cool when we visited but we were kept beautifully warm by the traditional charcoal fire that burned under the table. Very accommodating owners. Would definitely stay again if passing.”
“Lovely accommodation. Friendly people. Secure parking. Great breakfast.”
“Convenient location. Small town charm. Beautiful decor. Great value.”
“The bedroom was very comfortable. The owner and family went out of their way to help us.”
“Lovely garden area, fabulous modern bathroom, whole hotel has interesting decor. Good location for visiting Zamora, Salamanca & roundabout. Situated in small village, but with several restaurants. We ate in the sister restaurant over the road, with basement bodega.”
