“It was comfortable and very relaxing. The owners were so friendly and our room very clean and so big.”
“Breakfast was good and position good with helpful staff and reasonably easy to find. Good overnight stop on way to Galicia and Portugal”
“The room and 1900 building is beautiful and restored in a tasteful manner, but more importantly Jesus was a great host. He welcomed us like family. He insisted that we have breakfast at the hotel and woke up earlier than his set time to accommodate our plans. When we settled our bill in the morning he said he contacted booking.com to let them know he was giving us a lower price because we were Pilgrims walking El Camino de Santiago. Upon leaving, it was like my wife and I were leaving our family home.”
“The friendly lady, but we could only talk in Spanish. The cleanliness of the room, the breakfast was continental but good, coffee good. The room a good view of the sea in distance and the shared terrace too, but not really for sitting out.”
“The location was beautiful, the owners were extremely nice, everything was clean”
“Beautiful property with very gracious hosts. An excellent selection for our group of 4 pampered pilgrims as this is on the Camino Norte route. Rooms were clean and spacious. Very quiet environment and excellent breakfast!”
“The owners were very nice and helpful, unfortunately they only speak Spanish, which was a shame as I would have liked to know more about the property. I get the impression that it was renovated from derelict as it has an earthy smell that it can't shake off. It is in a quiet location but the road noise will wake you in the morning, built in alarm clock, no big deal. There is a cafe bar close by and the food was good if limited. We went down to the fishing village but trying to eat on a Saturday night was near impossible unless you like to eat late, i.e. 9 o'clock onwards. Breakfast was ok, continental style. Would I go again, maybe not but if your passing I would say that its okay for a short stay.”
“Good value for money. Staff very friendly. Easy access to major routes.”
“Very comfortable large room in a lovely setting. While English was non existent the management and us made ourselves understood with the assistance of the translator on our iPad. They were lovley people who did their best to make us comfortable. The breakfast was fresh orange juice, ham, fruit, toast, cakes and tea/coffee, included in the tariff. Restaurant available at the end of the street for lunch or dinner.”
“Our welcome was delightful. We were offered lovely picture books of the area to look at and advice as to was to visit. We were also given the opportunity to make ourselves tea from a large selection of flavours.”
