“family run hotel so very relaxed and friendly - the two members of staff i met spoke good English. The owner Mrs Seipel was charming and made sure i was settled into her hotel. No food offered in the evening but no bother for me as i simply headed into Leimen to find somewhere for diner. There is a pizza takeaway 200m from the hotel if I was that way inclined.”

“This is an exceptionally well-run hotel, recently refurbished with top quality furniture and décor. Immaculately clean, room was a good size. We had a room at the back, despite being near to road (but not a major one) it was really quiet. Personal service from the lovely owner, who was most helpful. Breakfast was excellent, a wide range of items but with an unusually healthy twist (including smoked salmon) which was much appreciated compared to some German breakfasts. Don't let the exterior of the building put you off, the interior is beautiful. Leiwen is at the end of the tram line so it's really easy to get to the centre of Heidelberg without any hassle at all (no traffic or parking worries!). A small quiet town with a couple of cafes on a square with a fountain, and a good traditional restaurant (Brauerei Ausschank).”

“Very nice staff. Very nice furnishings. Nice, clean and quiet room. The breakfast was superb. Safe place to park our motorcycle. Close to restaurants. We made a quick booking for one night on our motorcycle trip to the north and was really surprised by this lovely hotel. I strongly recommend it.”

“We arrived on a holiday and there was no staff to greet us, however, this did not prove to be a problem. We received an email with instructions on how to use the key code and once inside our key and further information was readily available. We also had free parking available on site. Our room was very nice, adequate size, spotlessly clean, with tasteful decor, and the bedding was very comfortable. At breakfast the next morning we were very graciously greeted. The breakfast included an abundant assortment of breads and pastries, meats and cheeses, lox and cream cheese spreads, yogurts, cereals, grains to grind to your own taste, juices, and eggs. We would not hesitate to stay here again when visiting Leimen or Heidelberg.”

“Exceptional cleanliness, simply spotless. Room interior looks like brand new. Spacious parking lot, always had enough space. Supermarket 500m away. Very quiet surroundings, no noise from the outside whatsoever. Pretty good breakfast with delicious meets and salmon although no warm dishes. Had to order? Maybe, did not try that as had just 15mins each time... Staff was pretty nice. Arrived on Sunday evening, hotel was locked, but entered it using earlier emailed entrance code. Found my room key and welcoming letter (in German) on the counter. Internet speed was better than expected.”

“We stayed here twice, stopping over whilst driving to and from the UK to Austria. Friendly welcome, comfortable and exceptionally clean rooms. Free off street parking with enough spaces. Good location just 5 min walk from the quaint centre of Leimen with its many restaurants, whilst conveniently close (10 min drive) to the motorway, in a quiet suburban neighbourhood. Great breakfast with lots to choose from, served 8-10 am on weekends.”
