“Very nice hotel with kind staff”
“Hotel staff is very welcoming and helpful. Receptionist suggested us tea or coffee while registering us on arrival. Hall is very cozy with comfortable chairs. I also like wooden finishing of the front wall. Hotel has comfy location, just few minutes walk from Sultanahmet square. We booked basic room on the ground floor, but got one on the second floor, that is nice. There are no elevator in the building. Guests have 24h access to terrace on the roof, and views towards Marmara Sea from it are exceptional. On the terrace you can also prepare tea (self-service) every day from 3 to 8 pm. The room was clean and quite comfy. Room was cleaned every day, towels were changed every day as well. Toiletries provided and added if needed. WiFi was not too fast, but stable enough. One day in the morning it was not working, but when we returned in the evening, everything was alright. There are several power sockets in the room, which is important sometimes. Central heating was working all night, from approx. 8 or 9 pm, and you can turn it to be really hot. Also there is conditioner with heating option, so you should not freeze during the day. It will be also very usefull during summer time. Breakfast was very good. It's a standart turkish breakfast, like in other hotels, but there are enough dishes and all were tasty. It's not limited, so you can eat as much as you can allow to yourself :) I could recommend Tashkonak hotel to everybody and will probably stay there again.”

“They helped us to keep our leggage in the hotel for 2 days when we went to cappadokya.there was free speed wifi available. they helped us for our istanbul trip also. the bathroom was clean and good.there was a grocery near to it. the best thing was the room which was in the third floor with private terrace with furniture. and had good view out side with beaches”

“The hotel was spotlessly clean. Staff were amazingly helpful. They let us check in to our room one and a half hour before the time we were supposed to and again check out 1.5 hour after check out time. Hot water is always available and you can use iron and guest computer whenever you want. Will stay there again.”
“Tashkonak hotel is very near to most historical sites of Istanbul, , is located in a quiet street. It has a roof terrace with amazing view at Bosphorus strait and Sultan Ahmet Mosque. The hotel staff is very frindly and helpful. Rooms are cosy, usefully furnished, and clean. Continental breakfasts are rich and yummy, include seasonal fruit and vegetables, various kinds of cheese, cakes or james . Low price for good quality.”

“staff very nice cleaning lady does all the rooms...she is efficient...very pleasant lady ... english limited but it seems most people perhaps do not tip her while I did ...so she went out of her way to begin a conversation with me. I tip early in a long stay as I feel it best to do so. I travel many months a year. I am not on any tours. I just try to know the people. So important too.”
