“El Batan Hotel is a beautiful place that offers a nice retreat from the city life. It's located at the very end of a rural road and its' strong point it's definitively their natural warm pools that go perfectly with their wonderful rooms built in a typical rural Colombian style. There's no internet out here and it's likely your cellphone won't find a network either, this is a place to disconnect and forget about the world. You can go visit Tota lake during the day and maybe do some handcraft shopping in the nearby village called Iza. Do keep in my mind, to reach this Hotel you need to travel to Sogamoso, the nearest city, and get a Taxi from there (that or having your own car). I don't know how expensive that might be but it's probably an expense to consider since the trip takes a half an hour or so.”
“Despite it's an old hotel the facilities look clean and confortable. The pool area is relaxing and beutiful. The place combine nature and confort. In addition food is delicious and portions are big.”
“Amazing location tucked away in the mountains with beautiful trees and flowers. The pool reserved for hotel guests is large and never felt crowded, and we loved swimming at night. The steam room was great. The restaurant had a good sized menu and several vegetarian options.”
