“The hotel had a good location close to the cable car and with a very good view from the restaurant to the valley below. Also a good view from the outside terrace. We had booked a double room but got a free upgrade to a princely room! The staff was helpful and spoke English. The parking was free and the breakfast was good.”
“The silence on the top of the mountain was great. Plus the view to the city was amazing with all the stars! Location itself is best for Etna, because it is only 9 minutes to the top. The girl at the reception was super helpful and she spoke good english! Breakfast variety was pretty decent!”
“We were delighted when we arrived to be given a free room upgrade. The room was beautifully decorated, romantic and a big comfy bed. We were made to feel very welcome at the evening meal. The food was delicious and typically Sicilian and reasonably priced. Dessert was especially good! Loads of free easy parking and the staff were lovely and friendly. The owner called us over during dinner to see him feeding a wild mountain fox from his hand, not something you see every day! Less than a 10min drive to the Etna cable car. I'd really recommend this place!”
“Very spacious room with nice, old-style equipment befitting the ambience, extra sofa, coffee and tea facilities in the room (unusual for Italy), great location and nice breakfast (unbeatable pistacho cream croissant). Staff was friendly even if their English was limited. Felt safe despite a rather remote location in the woods (but 5 minutes drive from the Etna cable car). Definitely preferable to Rifugio Sapienza in terms of comfort (we slept there the night before). If it were not for the "missing" restaurant (see negatives) I would have given 10/10.”

“Family run hotel who were all very pleasant and helpful. Dining room was palatial. Food was good and breakfast particularly nice. Location was very good for Etnea visits and really almost within walking distance from the base station. WIFI was very fast and obtainable within the bedroom.”
