“What an absolutely charming place a little bit off the beaten track! This country hotel (and charming is the least you can say) offers every comfort you can imagine. The room was large and very comfy, furnished with a lot of attention to detail, with the rustic stone of the old building blending in very well with the interior design such as an exposed natural stone wall behind the bed. Included in the price is a free bottle of Vinho Verde from the hosts' own wine estate. Such a lovely gesture! The breakfast was sumptuous and the breakfast room, like the rest of the building, carefully designed. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Passing through Ferreira on the way to Porto, the local cemetery with an old little church was an interesting stop and lesson in local culture.”
