“This hotel is right on the seafront and with nice big balconies so you can relax and enjoy the views. The spacious communal areas have a unique style which is now a bit dated but you kind of get to like it after a couple of days. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A good base for exploring this part of the island which is less touristy than the rest. The pool is quite small but lovely for a dip after a day out walking. The Jardim restaurant in town is very good. We also recommend the walk from Faial da Terra to Salto do Prego waterfall.”
