“This family run and owned hotel/bar was excellent for a few nights stay Good location,just a ten minute walk or so into the town centre A short 10 km drive to Detmold,28km to Paderborn and a short 15 minute walk or so to the Extersteine stones The room I had was large and clean and tidy Good shower Simple furnished but that is all I need The place had a homely feel,as this was the original purpose of the building Just 8 rooms ,so not noisey The sports bar was decently decked out with varying sports memorabilia Not to over the top or tacky Helpful and friendly service I bought the small local football teams scarf from the bar ,a unique souvenir The meals were tasty and generous portions I had two evening meals he was the schnitzel and the next day was the cheeseburger with bacon Both were good Decent priced beers Parking was ethier in the front car park or directly outside the hotel”
