“I have family in Louisiana and this year was the first where we chose to stay in a hotel. While the HJ hotel was a bit of a drive from Marksville, we decided to take a chance because of the high ratings on Booking.com. And I'm glad we did! The hotel was very, very clean and the staff, while small was very helpful. There was a continental breakfast as well. In addition to the clean room, the bed was incredibly comfortable, easily in the top 5 all of the hotels I've stayed in. All in all, while the HJ was a bit off of the beaten path, we had a wonderful stay over the holiday weekend. It was also an incredible value in comparison to the other hotels in a 40 minute radius of where we were staying.”
