Excellent attitude from the staff, be it at front desk or in restaurant. Friendly and very helpful. Certainly would recommend it. Also it is very close to the Bussaco National Park, a wonderful area.”

“Alhoewel dit een oud/klassiek hotel is met badkamers uit 'het jaar nul', was het een fijn hotel om te verblijven. Er heerst een ontspannen sfeer en het hotel is smaakvol gedecoreerd met o.a. prachtige antieke lampen. Het ontbijtbuffet had niet veel keus, maar was okay. Geheel tegen onze gewoonte, hebben wij beide avonden die wij in het hotel verbleven in het hotel-restaurant gegeten. Ook daar was niet veel keuze, maar de prijs/kwaliteit-verhouding was goed. De goede en ontspannen sfeer in het hotel wordt mede door het personeel bepaalt; zij geven de gasten het gevoel van 'onder vrienden' te zijn. Een aanrader; ook voor gezinnen met kinderen!”
