“Peace and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. I spilled a cup of coffee and made a major mess at breakfast and the women who were staffing the room in which breakfast was served could not have been nicer, putting me at my ease, telling me to forget about it--and also making light of it in memory the next morning. This hotel is a real refuge in an area when the roads in my opinion are confusing and the drivers aggressive. One is safely relieved of all that once one pulls into the Mendenhall driveway. The hotel's restaurants are also appealing--a great sports bar where people were obviously having fun and a high end place where the food was excellent and the decor classic--this is a hidden resource that Hollywood needs to find out about--you could film movies dealing with the years from 1930 to about 1960 in here without changing a thing.”
“The restaurant is 5 stars! Excellent, excellent, excellent. We were celebrating our 49 anniversary. I had encrusted sea bass and my husband had duck. The best we have had. We travel the world and have experienced many cuisines, and this one is at the top! Kudos to the chef.”
