“We had the pleasure to spend 6 nights prior to the main season - thus, we had the hotel and the beach completely for us (we saw some basic empty huts at the beach - we were told that in 4 weeks from now they would be well-running beach reastaurants). The hotel is designed in a cooler/stylish Japanese style, but it is pleasant to stay and has a good atmosphere. Passing through the garden door you are directly at the beach. We could borrow wave-boards from the hotel and enjoyed the surf. Food is not cheap but gorgious. This is the big "Thank you" to Tekla, the wonderful cook. Besides the delicious Sri Lankan food (try the ginger/garlic steamed fish) she learnt to cook Italian food next door - she made our kids happy with Pizza, salat and noodles. We were positively amazed by the kind service and felt every minute at home.”

“The location of this property is spot on. An absolutely stunning beach is right at the bottom of the properties garden and Tangalle City is only a short 15 min scooter/tuktuk ride away. The food was very tasty (especially the BBQ Fish) and staff were very helpful. We wanted to be independent so didn't arrange any trips through the hotel although they were offered. Instead we rented a scooter from them and went off on all sorts of adventures thanks to a Map the hotel manager drew for us.”
