“Free bike inluding lights provided for getting around; bike friendly hotel; super midern and clean; great place to use as a starting base for cycling!”
“Very friendly and helpfull English speaking staff, free hotel transfer to trainstation, tourisim info and free bike rental.”
“Great wifi. Good water pressure. Spacious shower. Comfy bed. Parking right outside the hotel. Breakfast is decent.”
“Comfy bed, friendly staff, seaview and top-notch room design. Location is outside of city center but you can just take an inexpensive 10-minute cabride or rent a scooter/car for your stay (reception will recommend a rental agency nearby). Hotel will arrange complimentary pickup and dropoff which is a nice treat. Few tips: - The night market closes early (around 10pmish) but there is one stall with excellent deep fried seafood open until 2am. - When walking back to the hotel from the night market after dark (takes about 40 minutes), expect to encounter a few barking dogs along the road. Better take a cab instead. - There's a lovely factory-turned-creative-park right in the city center at the intersection of Zhongzheng Rd. and Zhonghua Rd. - If you decide to visit the Taroko gorge, get a car or join an organized tour. We've scootered there from Hualien and it was a long, tiring trek. - Hualien's coastline only has rocky, deep oceanfronts unsuitable for swimming.”
