“This hotel was a lovely place to stay. It's one of the first tall buildings in Izmir and maintains traditional standards of courtesy and hospitality. Unlike most hotels in Turkey, there is a bath as well as shower and it was lovely to relax with a soak after busy days of sight-seeing. There is also an on-site masseuse, so this is a really comfortable place to spend a few days. Not to mention the on-site cinema, with some of the films shown with their original English dialogue (I saw The Dressmaker). The hotel is a couple of minutes' walk from the main station. Some travel guides advise against the walk but I did it a couple of times with no hassles whatsoever.”
