“Nice natural surroundings, fruit trees all over property, can hear insects and animals at night, lots of cute geckos, room ventilated with natural air, comfortable clean simple room, soft towels, friendly staff, managers helpful, 30 min drive to lava viewing area and Kalapana, close to warm pools, clean drinkable water, hot shower with great pressure, yummy fruits for breakfast papaya rollinia etc. Peaceful atmosphere and felt safe to leave luggage there even though room has no lock. Interesting reception area, hassle free check in and check out. Interesting outdoor bathroom. Look forward to visiting again. Very nice place to take a break in nature.”
“The room was comfortable and very peaceful. We location was perfect for us to catch our Lava Boat tour. Good value for money. Staff and other guests were very friendly.”
“Great vibe, friendly and accommodating. Beautiful setting and delicious plant based food.”
“I enjoyed the care Ashley showed from my first phone call with her, until the end of my stay. I enjoyed the reasonable nightly cost to stay in my private room that was very clean and simple. The stay was quiet, restful, and in a perfect location for the area. I definitely look forward to checking in on them during my next trip.”
“Peaceful and nice in touch with nature. I forgot to read common bathroom, but it was ok”
“Being off grid, in the jungle! The loud frogs and the self sustainment. The healthy breakfast, and access to fresh fruit straight off the trees!!! All Very cool!”
“That breakfast and dinner is offered at a reasonable cost and is Hawaiian style. Would have enjoyed a little more variety for the breakfasts though. I loved the view from the Ocean Vista room and the private bathroom was very relaxing and private.”
“Kirpal was definitely the highpoint of our Spring break Big Island "staycation". Sleeping close to the earth in a breezy cabin, listening to the coqui frogs at night, and just enjoying the untainted beauty of the land from such a lovely, Home-y property was a perfect way to unplug, unwind, and quiet the mind and body. Kirpal is a shining star of a facility if you are looking for meditative quietude in a spiritual setting that is truly steeped in Aloha. It is rustic... but perfect for nature-loving budget travellers and yogis alike. Can't wait to return! Their attention to detail is inspiring and a reflection of a special mindfulness that is often lacking in our manic, consumer and technology-driven world.”
“very close to nature. excellent customer service as my fren left his jacket in the room but we were already at the airport. the staff posted the jacket to Oahu and didnt want to charge my friend.”
“What a great retreat location. I loves the single huts. Very friendly staff and great yoga lessons!”
