“stunning location, it's Mont St Michel, so you have to park in the controlled areas on the mainland and walk or take the free shuttle to get to the Abbey/hotels,etc.. Hotel room was immaculate, restaurant was busy and service was strong and friendly.”
“The room we booked turned out to be pretty far uphill. The hotel staff took us on a good little walk up the village to get to our lodge after we had checked in at the restaurant. The walk was worth it though! The view from the room was fantastic. There was a little balcony from which we could see the bay, the link bridge, and about a quarter of the island. We were really close to the clock tower, overseeing the cemetery. It was really peaceful and hauntingly beautiful at night, and the view of the sunrise at dawn was unbeatable. We had lunch at the restaurant when we arrived, and the moules et frites was very very good.”

“People complain that rooms are not great on the "Mont" BUT it is an absolute unreal experience to stay ON the island!!!! I'm going to go back at some point and I will ABSOLUTELY STAY ON THE ISLAND!!! I saw the hotels near the entrance to the causeway and there is no way I would stay at any of them. It doesn't matter what the room is like. You are only going to sleep there. Nothing can beat wandering around the island after dark feeling like you have stepped back hundreds of years in time.”

“The room had the most amazing view, the small room was clean, the 2 single beds that were pushed together were clean and comfortable, with sufficient clean extra linen. The privacy and good security was appreciated. It certainly met my expectations of a hostel - level accomodation (Adequate - Good). The staff were friendly in a professional way. I loved the small balcony. I will never forgot the pleasure of sitting out when the crowds were gone and appreciating the sanctity of the evening. I watched the dawn rise too, and I could sit and I was able to listen to the birds and watch the island awake. Just magical.”
