“It's a lovely old building in a beautiful, peaceful location, with an interesting history. The room was comfortable and quaint, with antique furniture. Meals were served next door, in the restaurant (which it turned out also had rooms). The breakfast eggs were good because you cook them yourself! We stayed only one night, on the way to Amsterdam. A longer stay would have allowed us to explore the area on foot, with a sketch pad and water colours, and to potter about on the river.”
“Really liked the decor in the property, loved the position right beside the river. On arrival our host forgot to tell us how to open the electronic gates to the property which took us a while to figure out, not much fun after a lot of tiring driving to get to destination.”

Charles de Gaul is believed to have stayed there. Occupied by French and German armies in WW1. Only building left standing after the war. Micobrewery on site We will definitely be staying there again”
