“Well situated on the river; walking distance to the centre about 10 minutes. You can park your car in the yard behind the hotel, included in the room rate. Rooms facing the yard will overhear the coming and going, even late at night. Well-equipped bathroom with a window and decent towels; the room had a good bed; there was even a small place for the luggage near the door. There is no one at reception from 9 p.m., so you get instructions on how to get into the hotel, working well. Everything fine for one or two nights.”

“A grand old Hotel on the banks of the Loire, with a great atmosphere, great staff, good bar and restaurant. The restaurant was closed on the Monday evening we stayed, as is often the case in France, but if the breakfast was anything to go by, l am sure it is excellent. We booked a room with a balcony to take advantage of the views of the river; it was a little smaller then we would have liked, and the bathroom was pretty basic, but they made up for it by installing the most comfortable bed they could possibly find. ( We have a Tempur Cloud mattress at home, so l know a good mattress when l lie on one. ) A really great nights sleep. And a fantastic spread to take advantage of for breakfast, something for everyone, and help yourself, so well worth it. A special mention to the staff, who really made us welcome, and waited on us hand and foot; much appreciated after a long hard day traveling.”
