“My father was paying for the trip as a gift -when we got to the property they would initially not let us in the room because they had not received payment - which is normal for Booking .com we thought - then a very rude receptionist spoke to my dad and wouldn't take payment over the phone but insisted on send him a form to complete by email - they did not do that at all. so through our trip they didn't clean out room and just left towels and toilet roll outside - we were there for 5 nights it was disgusting - my dad ended up transferring the money directly to me in the end. Next time we won't use Booking.com if that's what happens and we will just pay directly to the hotel”
