“A lovely room in a beautiful location with lush gardens and a short walk to Windermere. The hotel and room was well appointed to enjoy our short stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, even helping with the luggage up the stairs.”
“The room was large , very comfortable with everything that one would need. The bathroom was lovely, especially the shower. The garden and the views were also lovely. Dinner was excellent, and the general atmosphere in and around the hotel was relaxing. I would definitely return on another visit to that part of the country.”
“They managed to meet our additional request and it was a great surprise for us. Breakfast selection & food quality was excellent. Staffs were friendly and attentive. The property does not have a lift on site. However, the staff were pro-active in helping us with several of our luggage to our room. The interior of the reading room is beautifully decorated and comfortable with a wood fire place. Good location to main town of Windermere if one is driving.”
“Lovely grounds especially the walk to the tarn. Afternoon tea at the terrace overlooking the lake was most relaxing and enjoyable. Inside the rooms with the fireplaces were most cosy and comfortable. Staff was most helpful. In particular Rowena went out of her way to be helpful.”
