Important Notice
- The ground floor of the hotel will be completely renovated at the start of 2017 and will be completed by mid-February 2017. From the start of renovations in January 2017 the hotel's leisure club and beauty salon will remain closed until summer 2018, when the hotel's new luxury spa and a brasserie restaurant with an outdoor terrace, as well as 18 new exclusive bedroom suites, will open.<br><br>When booking 5 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements will apply.<br><br>When dining in the property's lake view restaurant, guests are requested to wear smart-casual attire. Faded/ripped jeans, branded t-shirts, trainers, walking boots and flip flops are not allowed.<p>The property will be going through renovation works from Sun 01 Jan 2017 until Sat 31 Mar 2018. During this period, guests may experience some noise or light disturbances, and some hotel facilities and services may not be available.</p>

“I called the hotel before our stay and asked if it was easy to get taxi from there and they said yes so we did not rent a car. We had an activity early in the morning, the whole purpose of our trip. In the evening we asked reception to book the taxi and 10 mins later they said there was no taxi available and that we would need to walk 45 mins and they would not care! Actually on google showed 2.5h walking. Anyway we called taxis that we found on google and managed to get one. So you should only stay there if you are driving and do not count on the staff for anything. I found in general that people are very unhelpful at the Lake District, very surprised because I'm sure tourism is a big thing for them.”
