“The location is really stunning as the hotel is surrounded by a beautiful park. The hotel main building is well maintained and drawing rooms a real treat. The Hywel Jones restaurant is expensive but fantastic and a really great experience. We had the tasting menus and both lived up to expectations. The staff were very friendly and capable. The room service was very good and quick. It was our wedding anniversary so they treated as really (even providing some anniversary decorated petit-fours with after dinner drinks without us asking sadly not complementary!) Good gym, pools and spa area.”

“Beautiful building, surroundings, gardens. Exceptionally friendly, polite and attentive staff, nothing too much trouble. Delicious food in the Brasserie, can't comment on the main restaurant as unfortunately it was closed the evening we stayed. The spa was so relaxing and the weather was ok so we could enjoy the outside pool and chairs too. When we checked in we were told our room had been upgraded as it was our 25th wedding anniversary and there was a complimentary bottle of bubbly on ice with strawberries, grapes and chocolates to compliment it waiting for us there. Perfect, a lovely touch. Also, between the hours of 11.00 and 3.00 it's quiet time in the pool so no kids allowed. That was nice as although the kids that were there weren't that noisy, they were still noisier than the adults that were reading, chilling, dipping in and out of the pool and sleeping.”
