“Friendly, well appointed Hotel, well situated in the heart of the Mosel region but a little off the beaten track, the reason for this being the "Rodelbahn" , which is built into the mountainside. Looks to be an excellent ride but closed for maintenance whilst we were there. Would be a great place for a few days with children, lots of running round room in the fields and forest. Rooms spacious with large bathrooms. Typical and more than adequate buffet breakfast. The historic city Trier is no more than 20 minutes away by car. If on a wine buying trip, stay clear of the tourist centres and visit one of the many family wine growers ("Winzner") we found Weingut Kronz in Fastrau, the next village, excellent wines at more than affordable prices. If you visit in summer, have a trip to the Bergwerke (slate mine) in nearby Fell.”

“Wir waren auf dem Oktoberfest und buchten eine Übernachtung in diesem schönen Hotel!! Leider waren die Zimmer ausgebucht, somit mussten wir auf ein Mini-Chalet ausweichen, was nicht schlimm war! Im Gegenteil!!! Alles sehr sauber und neu!!! Mit kleinem Flur, ein Schlafzimmer und ein kleines Bad!! War sogar günstiger als ein Hotelzimmer!!Unser Bett war sehr bequem und nicht zu hart! Zimmer ist auch schnell aufgeheizt!! Für zwei Personen ist so ein Mini-Chalet vollkommen ausreichend!!! Und alles vorhanden!”
