“Paid twice the price by using booking.com !!!!!!!!! found out others had booked hotel direct and got a better deal. Room was cold - bar where we had an early dinner at 5pm smelled of 'wet dog' grumpy old barman! young barman was fine though. Food mediocre - palest 'fish and chips' I have ever seen. Try eating at a table with a low chair - had to put plate on my knee to manage eventually. Breakfast was not hot - in a private room and according to other guests we did not get the full selection available in the dining room! Why?? £9 for a large glass of wine in the bar - I could have bought 2 bottles for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“The receptionist when we arrived was so lovely and friendly made us feel as if she had our personal needs all sorted. The fresh milk they bring to your room - great touch. The pool with views of trees - so relaxing. - we ate breakfast out in edinburgh as its so close, and we had evening meals at the 2 local Italian restaurants nearby. Complimentary wine in our room too - unexpected and appreciated.”
