“We had an excellent 3 night stay at Mangrove lodge as part of our 2 week honeymoon travelling around the island. It was a perfect way to relax in amazing surroundings after a busy stay in Stonetown. Everyone was really friendly and a lovely atmosphere. They organised a dinner on the beach for us one night. The beach was the best we saw on the island. I think because there is less wind on this side of the island the water was much calmer than what we found on the east coast and still just as pretty and very quiet. The food at Mangrove was some of the best we tasted! We didn't feel the need to leave Mangrove at all for the duration of our stay which was good as it is quiet secluded which was great for us.”

“I liked their eco approach, the amazing handmade soap and shampoo. The bedroom was very comfortable, although it did not have an aircon. The establishment had beautiful gardens, very tropical, and we enjoyed exploring the nearby beach and old castle ruins. The owner, a lady, made recommendations for a spice tour and craft shop in the area. She was very friendly.”
