“Staff were friendly. Unpretentious but elegant and beautifully done. Homely with a big roaring fire. I would challenge anyone not to enjoy this beautiful place. The food was perfectly cooked and portions good. Thought was given to local and seasonal produce. Service was impeccable and the owners lovely and accommodating. Nothing was a problem. We travelled with two dogs and they were made to feel welcome too. The owner even washed up their bowls. I would highly recommend this place And will definitely be back. My only regret was that we were only there for one night.”

“Everything was the very best. From the warm welcome, to the gorgeous manor and grounds, to the fabulous food, we could not have asked for more. The staff were excellent and took care of any request. Apéritifs were taken on the lawn and were delightful. Food was worthy of the best gastronomic restaurants in France. We have also stayed at the Relais and Chateaux Moulin de l'Abbaye in Brantome and the hotel experience at Manoir d'Hautegente was far superior. We LOVED it!”
