“This is a unique opportunity to stay in a monastery. The building is very large with lots of historic features. There are a number of outdoor areas that are in the form of courtyards or open areas. There is an outdoor pool which looked inviting but was very cold. Our room was like a mini suite comprising of a sitting area, extremely large bed a separate room with 2 single beds and a bathroom which had a large bath and shower. We chose half board and although the dinner choice was limited the food was good and a nice bottle of Rioja was only €12. The town is very interesting being an important historical place. We had a great coffee and cake in a place called Maisa’s which is well worth a visit.”

“Stunning location overlooking the monastery gardens. Quirky rooms with huge stone fireplaces. Mullion windows. Lovely sound of the bells to wake you up at 8 a.m. Stayed her previously and had a great time. Will continue to use this hotels. Food excellent and so reasonably priced. Wines a delight.”

It is an oasis in a rather small village, but we went without knowing what to expect, and had a great time, enjoying the room, the monestorio, the swimming pool and a great dinner.
