“There were a couple staff that were quite helpful and friendly. The doorman and Leonardo. Because we were so far out from Rio there was little English spoken so it took efforts from all parties to communicate. Not a big issue since there are translation sites and I speak some Portuguese. A friendly smile, gestures and "obrigada" work as well as being fluent in another language.”

“Very poor service. I booked a taxi with reception for a flight at 4am. The receptionist forgot to order it and then the night porter blamed me for not getting the name of the taxi driver. Staff were miserable and very unhelpful. I ordered room service and the burger that was delivered must have been microwaved and was accompanied by soggy crisps. They only sold water in tiny bottles and thee were no shops nearby. No information about facilities. Lift wasn't working as buttons didn't work. Jacuzzi was broken and pool area was dirty.”
