“Clean room, amazing breakfast, quiet and safe neighborhood for this amazing guesthouse. But the real difference was made by Luiz and Leila, the owners, which great hosts! Luiz took us for a short tour of the neighborhood as soon as we arrived, he explained to us what's best to do do in Rio, suggested great restaurants and areas. We have been cuddled from the beginning to the end in all possible ways, Luiz even woke up to say bye when we left (5.30am) and gave us a little present. We have been around quite a lot but never felt so welcome before.”

We had the presidental suite and a normal room 1 week each. Perfect ending on our 5 months of travel. I highly recommend. Take uber around in Rio, much cheaper and better and safer.”

“The owners Luiz and Leila made us feel at home. The house is located on top of the Laranjeiras hill with amazing views. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with silent air conditioning. The pool area is very nice and spacy, with a table for meals and a self-serve fridge with beverages. In the morning, if you are lucky you can see rare birds and monkeys moving around the trees. An amazing, quiet retreat from the busy beaches, right at the center of Rio. We wish we had more time to stay there, we will definitely come back if we have the chance to go back to Rio.”

“Pretty much everything. We were close to the center of rio and also to the beaches copacabana and ipanema and all other interesting things maybe 15-30 minutes drive to all this places. The owners are super friendly and gave us alot of tipps what we could do in rio and which restaurants they recommend etc. They take great care of the guests. The pool was also great. You can relax alot because its not a hotel with so many people. And u can listen to your own music at the pool. Breakfast is very good, loved it every day. The hotel is also in a very secure and nice area. We would stay there again.”

“Our stay was simply perfect. The hotel only has 5 rooms and appears to be a luxury private villa in the hills of Rio. The owners are extremely friendly, helpful and fluent in English (which is not always the case in Brazil). The area is very quiet and absolutely safe, but at the same time close to the main attractions. Yes, you do need a car to get around, but taxis are quite cheap in Rio. The most expensive taxi ride we made was for 30 Real which is about 10 USD and we have seen Corcovado Mountain (Christ the Redeemer), Sugarloaf mountain, Copacabana, Ipanema Beach etc. We travelled with 2 kids and didn't need any of the extras a big hotel chain offers like gym or a top-rated hotel restaurant. We went out by taxi in the morning and came back in the afternoon to spend some time at the pool to relax. In the evening we went out again for dinner which was not a big burden to the budget given the fair taxi prices. So overall this was the perfect B&B hotel for us in Rio!”
