“I spent my last few days in SL at Nisala Arana. I was just planning on a few days relaxing by the pool and reading, which is pretty much what I did. I was extremely lucky that there were no other guests around for most of my stay, so I effectively had the place to myself. The staff were extremely helpful and always around to tend to whatever you required. The breakfasts were fantastic, and they easily catered to my dietary requirements. I'm a huge fan of the Sri Lankan breakfasts, so curries with either hoppers, string hoppers or dosa were perfect! There are a lot of mosquitos around being surrounded by lush vegetation, so if you are prone to being bitten, beware. The grounds are lovely and tranquil and the rooms are very comfortable (albeit a bit dark). You are about a ten minute drive from the hustle and bustle of Bentota, which isn't a bad thing, but if you are a beach person I'd advise you to stay closer to the beaches.”
“1. The property, though small, was quite beautiful and well-maintained. The gardens and villas were exactly like the pictures. 2. The staff made an effort to be helpful and were very kind. 3. Afternoon tea crepes filled with coconut and jaggery were delightful. The quality of both the tea and coffee served by staff and provided in our room kits was very good.”

“Lovely grounds, very quiet surroundings. Nice old colonial building and very friendly staff who were always smiling and happy to help. Good breakfast (but pricey). Birds and squirrels everywhere. Hotel arranged tuk tuk to take us to restaurants which was handy and driver was lovely. Would be a great place to come and hire the whole villa with friends or family.”
“Estate and the garden are magnificent and kept clean on an unbeliveable level. The staff is very helpful and ready to go out of their way for any request. The food is excellent! The best we had in 2,5 weeks touring Sri Lanka. Event got a free upgrade due to an issue that was in no way related to the hotel. That rarely happens and was highly appreciated by my family and myself.”
“Superb boutique hotel. We had a luxury suite and it overlooked the grounds and pool at the front and had a semi-outdoor shower room at the back overlooking jungle. Gardens were kept meticulously and the food fantastic. They've obviously listened to feedback because breakfasts are huge with fruit platters followed by yoghurt and honey, then eggs how you want them or Sri Lankan curry. Staff were very attentive and so friendly too which was great for our four year old daughter.”

Relax, Unwind, absorb nature, chill in the pool and have the very friendly staff take care of all your needs ! The place has been very tastefully done up with a good mix of modern and contemporary furniture and fixtures... taking care of all requirements and needs of a discerning traveller. Highly recommended for a quite and relaxing stay at Bentota !”
