“The staff are fantastic. Ismail is the perfect host, helpful, knowledgeable and non-intrusive. The housekeeper is a very lovely lady. The rooms are great. The hotel is so close to the main sights of Istanbul, that most are within walking distance. The area though is private and quiet.”

“The hotel is very nice and cozy. I liked the style very much. There is everything in the room: all what you need for shower, tea/coffee, air-condition, hair dryer, TV with alot of channels, wi-fi. The bed was comfortable. Outside was very calm, nobody disturbed. The location is great, very close to Sultan Ahmet Cami and another tourist attractions. Also would like to mention here the administrator of the hotel Ismail, he is very kind,hospitable and helpful person, speaking excellent in English. Thank you very much for your good service.”

“It was literally a 5 minutes walk from the blue mosque and hagia sofia area. What a great location! Couldn't have stayed at a better place. Ismael, the owner, guided us about how to go about the 4 nights we were staying in Istanbul. And I must say, we couldn't have done it any better. After visiting 5 other cities we decided to stay in his hotel for one final night. He accommodated us on such short notice. The rooms were ideal. Everything was perfect. If we ever visit Istanbul again, definitely going to Oba again! ”

Specially grateful to Tulay on her advice and tips what to see and how to get to outside of Sultanahmet.
