“We had never stayed in vilano, so figured we would give it a try.It is very close to St Augustine but at the beach.The hotel is small and minor damage to outside from recent hurricanes. Mostly the landscaping. Very small outdoor pool was closed due to damage. As for the room, it was clean with furniture that look to have come from Disney's yacht club.Beds were clean and very comfortable. Slept great.Carpets was old but didn't stink.The rooms are no smoking, but it is allowed on the balcony. Air conditioning worked well. Continental breakfast...was nothing special. The sister hotel had a little more.. biscuits and gravy and corned beef hash. The beach was really good the first two days the a storm came in and took most of the beach area.The vilano pier is within walking distance. It doesn't close and it doesn't cost anything. Beaches is a waterfront restaurant. Very good food.There also is a pizza place and Mexican restaurant. There is a Publix also.”
“The beach was easily accessible from the hotel and every room has a balcony. I was on the first floor, but still had a decent view of the beach over the dunes. It was a very relaxing vacation with adequate bedding. The room could use a little updating but not so out of date that it really matter to us. The staff was very friendly and happy to meet any needs we had. We will definitely be back.”
