“First of all - the young man who worked at the Villa was lovely! I have given the Orchid Villa a bad rating, but that is really only due to the lack of cleanliness, and most certainly not to the owner or manager, he was most helpful! He arranged a Tuktuk driver for us on New Year's Day who took us around all Kandy's sights, and was all together really great. The location is a bit 'out in the sticks' - it's nice if you want to get away from the noise of the city, but not convenient if you'd like to just nip out for a meal.”

“The hotel is located a bit outside of the city center. But in 10 minutes you reach it by Tuk Tuk. The rooms are okay. The rooms are tidy in general but don’t look to closely. The staff is very friendly but not so organized. For example, the warm water issue. The breakfast was good. Tipp to the staff: do not wait with the omelet till it is cold. Serve it when it is ready. The guys had some good tips and helped us with a driver who was extremely helpful. All in all it is a decent place to stay. With some organizing it could be much better.”
“Great place just outside of Kandy centre. Mountain view from the balcony. Comfortable beds def. not too hard. And swimmingpool! Don't expect a 5 star The Hilton, Bellagio hotel but a lovely homely feel mansion style place. And Rowan (the manager) is awesome! Short TukTuk drive away from Kandy centre but he arranges a (very) good price with a driver friend (Micheal) who btw is also awesome and cool. So: good beds, awesome people, great stay!”
