“This is a wonderful hotel which has been beautifully renovated and decorated with an interesting mix of very old and very modern to a very high standard. The owners could not have been more welcoming and made it a very relaxing and peaceful place to stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in the area, and worth going off the beaten track to find it.”

“Fabulous looking property, a marvellous mix of old and modern, with some very clever design elements to link the two. Our welcome was so warm and genuine from Sandra, who helped us with our requests without fuss. Our room light, bright and very comfortable. The pool looked great but the weather didn't allow for a swim! Vitório, such a kind man, served us some excellent wines & a little tapas in the delightful bar area. Breakfast was excellent to our choice too. Such a quiet and tranquil place to totally relax and recharge. The cats too are so delightful. The property does not offer food in the evenings to purchase which for us was a shame because we didn't want to drive out at night. It would be great if there were a few petições & snacks to choose from, especially for travellers who arrive late and in the rain.”

“The host welcomed us very well! She was extremely nice, warm, and gave us a lot of attention. The swimming pool was great, under the sun, and they brought us our drinks next to it, with a piece of home-made cake. The establishment is located in a small and charming village, 30min away from Viseu, and only 1 hour away from Porto, at 5km from the main highway (close enough for the convenience, but enough far away to not be disturbed by the noise). It was so quiet! Really relaxing! Newly renovated with taste. Big room, big common areas (terrasses, swimming pool, bar and snooker, sofas, library, etc.). The breakfast was good, with plenty of choice (sweet, salty, fruits, coffees, teas, juices, breads, cheeses, ham, marmelade, cereals, yogurt, pastries, cakes, etc.). Perfect to quick-off the day! I definitely recommend this place! For at least one night, if not two, or more! Thank you for this delightful stop in our trip! :)”

“Location the house- on top on hills. House renovated in very professional way giving the spirit of previous century. Each element in room was chosen in line with character of old house. All what you need for vacation is on place ... I'm thing about some gap but really no way to find... Owners are very friendly and supported us a lot. Each request wasn't any problem! Owner said there is still treasure but they didn't find... So come and try to find it! ”

And we can confidently recommend it to those who want to relax in a comfortable and very calm environment, who appreciate comfort, convenience, simple charm of a small stylish hotel and who like to take very tasty and varied breakfast in the morning. The hotel's design is very thought out and beautiful. The hotel is made in a style that combines the advantages of the ancient house and all the modern amenities. Each room has the name of a Portuguese writer and has a selection of his books in the room. It is important to note the exceptional ratio price/ quality. The staff is friendly and ready to help.”
