“Fantastic to experience staying in such a historical building, a great nights sleep ( badly needed after staying in a previous hotel where I could hear the guests next door) very friendly staff”
“This former monastery is stunning and has been restored to make it more akin to a museum than a four star hotel. Parts of the building are breathtaking (especially the Library).”
“This monastery is the most amazing building ever. It's enormous (so your room can be a very long walk from Reception!), beautifully decorated, and historically very interesting. The rooms are also huge and very comfortable. Restaurant is fabulous; it's cosier (and better value) to eat in the bar. Excellent location for exploring local area - stunning scenery, wonderful forests and great wildlife.”
“Excellent breakfast. Everything very spacious and tastefully upgraded within the original building.”
“Stunning place. Upgraded to a suite which was vast and very well appointed. Situated a bit of a distance from the village but still a beautiful place. would thoroughly recommend a stay here as it's easy to get into the Picos mountains.”
“Beautiful place, everything screams quality, huge giant rooms (you could easily fit 3 rooms into our double room) Bathroom excellent, water pressure on shower great, did I mention that we had a shower separate from a bath, his and her sinks, toilet, and bidet in just about 20 square meters huge and wonderful. The bed, linens and pillows first quality, a/c working perfectly. The flooring wood and stone felt also like it had some sort of temp control as it was warm and comfy. The building is amazing an old monastery/School renewed and turned into a beautiful Parador. The restaurant was really good we had a great dinner costly but well worth it! Pamper your self you won't be disappointed and the table service from the staff was above and beyond especially from the Capitan of the restaurant. The breakfast was good buffet style with eggs made to order, great coffee and bread.”
“This historic building was treated to a stunning renovation, the rooms and all the public spaces - hallways, library, sitting room - are both warm and peaceful, the materials are mostly stone and wood, it's extremely elegant. Breakfast was excellent too. I much enjoyed morning swims in the indoor pool. The overall feeling is very luxurious.”
“This is a lovely old building with impressively long and wide corridors and spacious rooms. There's plenty of the old character remaining and we found some really nice, relaxing rooms that few people seemed to bother using. For a break in the mountains, the setting is just about perfect. Dinner is served in a pleasant room and service is good, though the pretentious names on the menu hint at better than the diminutive portions and modest quality of the food. I opted for goat and ended up with a plate full of bones - not great for a meal that cost about 100 euros for two. The wine list is also modest for a Parador sporting an adjoining winery. The reception staff are helpful and do try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They speak English pretty well and you'll be greeted with a smile. Even the over-pressured breakfast staff did their best to cope with rush hour!”
“The spa & pool facilities, the room was spacious - very clean and well designed”
“Very nice spacious room. Great breakfast. Large easily accessible car park.”
