“My visit was to help me attend the nearby (20miles) RIAT Air show. This was a late booking all of the much nearer accommodation had been booked months before. Even so I was grateful to get in anywhere The hotel was an easy straight drive and well placed to enable me to drive and join the queues to get in. The landlady who got up early to do my breakfast was cheerful, also very helpful I noticed on sunday she had done up a packed lunch for fellow guests to enable them to get in the queue earlier! She was a lot more cheerful than the landlord who seemed more interested in the taxi business he also operated The lady was clearly stressed at the "pleasures" of running the business with staff shortages. However the room was clean and plenty big enough for me on my own, although the crumbling wooden window frames would have benefited from a lick of paint.”

“Room smelt- windows didn't open properly and were rotting- general need for an overhaul and clean. Depressed me tbh. Not really a hotel- more like a b and b and pricey for that. The room I had was also v noisy by the front door. Landlady v pleasant, breakfast good and invoice prepared beautifully, but I really wouldn't stay again”
