“The staff were very good in all respects. Rooms OK The pathways were terrible, you had to keep your eyes peeled so you wouldn't trip. The tree roots were pushing the tiles up. Swimming pool good, jacouzi and sauna not working, steam room now and again, good when working.”

“On arrival at 10.30am, three members of my family got keys by 3pm i waited till 3.40 for my key. Staff not friendly or helpful...waited at pool bar while staff did their duties instead of looking after the customers. Towel in my room thread bare would'nt even use it to dry my dog at home. Ants in rooms 301,302,303 & 304 crawling over my granddaughter cot one evening reported to reception told someone would be up to look.. no one turned up. Drinks & food prices increased during our stay no prior warnings. Lacking good entertainment in the evenings & very expensive This may be a five star hotel for golfers but certainly not for holiday makers.”

“The hotel is NOT near the sea as described. The shuttle service not available until peak season..this should be made clear when booking. It takes about 1hr 30 minutes to walk to Vilamoura! 10 euros for a single journey to the coast using the hotel reception taxi service which is more expensive than the return journey to the hotel by local taxi. A quote for a return trip from the hotel to Armacao was 25 per cent cheaper using Yellow Fish Taxis who are brilliant. Having said all that, the grounds are beautiful, the swimming pool is great, the staff are friendly and the breakfasts are great. And we enjoyed ourselves!”
