“Hotel Petit Mao is a very special place to stay that feels like the home of someone with great taste. The reception area is like a living room with books and quirky accents. Breakfast is served in the pretty back garden, which has a lawn, a small thin pool and high white walls. Our room on the first floor (second floor for Americans) is reached via a grand staircase. It’s huge with very high ceiling and two large windows. There’s a comfortable bed and air conditioning. The bathroom was also huge with black tiles, a tub and twin sinks.”
“The hotel is tastefully appointed and Olga and Ignasi are very attentive hosts. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and high quality ingredients. It is well located on a fairly quiet street yet close to many good restaurants and bars. Free parking is about 5 minute's walk away.”
“Petit Mao is in an excellent position for walking into the old town of Mahon. We were there during a festival which had its pros and cons. The parking outside the property is not viable for the whole stay. However you can check in and unload bags then move the car to a free car park 5-10 minutes' walk away. I can't praise the staff enough. They were so helpful and friendly and the breakfasts were brilliant. We ate on the veranda and it was good to chat with other guests to find out what they had been doing. Our room was very peaceful at the end of the garden.”
