“Hospitality. We were completely wet, due to heavy rains when cycling, and they helped us with drying infrastructure, including the machine of the hotel. Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast. I travel a lot, and this is one of the few hotels that I would more than highly recommend.”

“Recently refurbished bedroom, beautifully done. Lovely lounge area also refurbished. Comfy beds, lovely shower room, couldn't fault the accommodation. Food in restaurant was excellent, and the breakfast was different and also excellent (salmon, avocado and egg - lovely).”
“I normally avoid hotels and prefer a B&B or pub. I would like to think that other small hotels will be as good as the Portreath Arms but only time will tell. A huge amount of effort has gone into renovating both the restaurant and rooms and the result is comfortable and relaxing. There is only the bar left to renovate and this should be done towards the end of 2017. The restaurant menu offered interesting, varied, tasty and good value food. I would stay here again.”
“Recently redecorated in clean and modern style. Room light and airy. Comfortable bed. Large bathroom with interesting mirror even though we couldn't work out what it did apart from light up!! Very friendly staff, waitress, bar staff and management. Excellent meal in restaurant - table already allocated in case we wanted to eat although we hadn't booked. Coffee before we left in friendly bar chatting to bar staff and locals.”
