“The monastery has been modified into a lovely pousada with very large bedrooms which are very comfortable. A nice little touch was a small bottle of port and fruit in our room when we arrived. Something that none of the other pousadas we stayed in did. The grounds are lovely with a swimming pool (which we didn't use). The breakfast choice was very good but not for vegans but vegetarian option was available. Again in the evening, the choice of meals for vegetarians/vegans was limited.”

There are lots of steps from the official car park to reception so insist on being allowed to come to the front court yard to unload”
