“This was my favorite place to stay on my 18 day vacation through Greece and the Amalfi coast, mainly due to the extremely nice and caring staff. The hotel itself is on a quiet street close to a very charming shopping area full of pedestrian only streets lined with restaurants, shops, bakeries, bars, and all kinds of stores, and is a short drive from the port. Our room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, and very quiet. The best part was the young man at the desk. He helped us with our luggage and when we asked for extra pillows and blanket, and a cup, all were brought up immediately. We only stayed one night and had to leave before breakfast was served, but he brought coffee and tea to our room early, and called the taxi for us. I wish I could remember the name of the young man who helped us. He was super nice and patient and let me practice my Greek with him! Ευχαριστώ πάρα πολύ. Karin”

“We arrived at the accomodation a little worse for wear after doing the Samaria Gorge hike (which everyone should do!) and were so grateful for the gracious and hospitable hosts of Rea Hotel. Well situated in Heraklion close to the port and though basic accomodation it was comfortable and very quiet. Amazing service, great choice and economic. Lovely hosts!”

“Parking lot proposed when I booked but the hotel doesn't have a parking actually... not practical since we indicated to the rental car company that we would return the car at hotel parking. Double bed indicated when booking but it was 2 single beds linked by one sheet. Blood spot on one sheet!”
