“I was very happy that my first floor single bed room had been exchanged for a third floor small double, when it was explained to me that Basingstoke can be very noisy on a Friday night and the new room had new sound proof windows put in. I thought that was a very considerate decision of the Red Lion. The room was spacious and so quiet. I couldn't believe that I was in the centre of Basingstoke on a Friday night! The bed was very comfortable and the towels were luxuriously soft. It was such good value! I will definitely find some excuse to stay again!”
