“Despite the name, Richemont is not a traditional hotel. It is more like a dormitory for retired people with extra rooms that they seem to rent out. The room has absolutely no standard facilities like a coffee maker or ironing board. The beds are threadbare with a blanket and paper thin pillows. Instead of a double bed they just slide two twins together. The "hotel" is unattended after 10pm. You have to use one of the side doors. When we returned to the hotel around 11pm from our day trip to the mountains, we had difficulty getting in and the entire hotel was completely dark. Great location on Lake Lucerne, but definitely not worth staying or recommending others. Check-in staff when present were friendly and nice. I just don't think it is a hotel..............”
“The hotel is situated 10 min. walk from the Lido in the lake, a fantastic swimming place. Easy to reach by bus from the train station in about 6-7 mins. Staff was very friendly to my 10 yrs old son. Breakfast offered an enormous variety of home baked bread, cheese, and excellent coffee. Bread is baked daily by the students from the bakery school in the building. It is also possible to buy bread to take home (recommended!)”
