“Arrived after a long day of shopping to a very nice staff greeting. Pictures do not do this hotel justice. It is one of the most beautiful castles I have ever stayed in. My room was very large and ceilings so tall I too couldn't capture how nice it was in a picture. Dinner was good. Breakfast order taken the night before was perfect the next day. Clean, good food, excellent staff....perfect.”

“Very helpful owner/chef/staff... hotel was fully booked and one of the rooms originally booked by us was not available for some odd reason... but we received an upgrade to a huge 3 room suite (bridal suite) for a small up-charge... overall a very charming property... actually a real castle with park-like grounds... be warned, some of the rooms (in tower & higher floors) require climbing lots of stairs... no elevator... but plenty of parking... absolutely recommend eating at the hotel restaurants... outstanding presentation and tasty... breakfast was plenty-full... typical German but also with eggs to order... would stay there again...”

“The location and setting is truly great if you want a quiet tucked away place to stay. We have stayed here twice as a family over the past few years and have enjoyed each stay. All the staff were excellent and very attentive to our needs. The room was well equipped to a high standard and the breakfast was lovely, set in a bright sun room overlooking the inner courtyard of the castle. Sadly, we didn't have an opportunity to try the restaurant ourselves, but we have several friends who live in the area and they inform us that the restaurant is superb. This is a wonderful place to stay if you want a luxury feel without the luxury price tag.”

“What an awesome place! It really feels like a small castle, with towers, old walls, chambers and medieval hallways. It is very charming and cozy. The rooms are big and well equiped, bathrooms are new, and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is also good. The surroundings are beautiful, with green gardens, old stairways and even a mysterious cave. We had a great time there!”

“OK, who can not love staying overnight in a castle? Modern comforts in an old property lovingly tended to. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We had dinner in the 'traditional' restaurant and it was excellent; a special Adventmenu of roast duck and nice salad and sides. We enjoyed breakfast as well. Wonderful staff”
