“Upgraded to room with a view and western bed very comfortable and clean loved the cedar onsen at this property”
“Excellent breakfast served in the nearby hotel. Free acess to onsen Free shuttle bus to the shrine”
“This place is close to the Kawayu Onsen, the hot springs in the river. In addition, it is possible to go to the outdoor onsen of the hotel next to this one (which is more expensive). But the outdoor onsen are free!”
“The Breakfast was good japanese and western. The outdoors onsen was awesome, the staff nice and the view was great”
“The free onsen in the hotel just next to this one was perfect after walking at the kumano kodo!”
“The staff was incredible. We left our phone charger, and they sent it to our next accommodation. This was particularly impressive due to the remoteness of the hotel. The buffet dinner and buffet breakfast were excellent.”
“Location was fantastic overlooking the beautiful river. Also, it was only 150m from the Kawayu Onsen bus stop (past 2 or 3 other buildings of the Sansuikan Kawayu hotel complex). Being able to use the facilities of the Sansuikan Mawayu Miyadori Hotel (the best kept part of the complex) and access to the river. Clothes washing facilities.”
“The hotel is a little dated and run down but adequate if you are walking the Komodo kodo. Although it said on the website that the bathing facilities were shared there was a small bath/shower unit in our room. This was nice. Do bring your own shampoo and shower gel though, these aren't provided. Toothbrush, paste and razor are there. I liked the Onsen in the building. The facilities look a little run down but the thermal water was lovely, very soft on the skin. There are 2-3 very basic restaurants around. You can swim in the river in a natural pool. Other than that there is no entertainment.”
“The onsen affiliated to the hotel next door was really nice, you can experience outdoor onsen.”
“Very simple hotel, but in a great location, with nice view of the river from the room. One of the staff was really friendly and helpful.”
