“A wonderful building, , carefully and tastefully renovated, in the countryside. Large grounds, our dog would have loved it! Breakfast on the large terrace, we were lucky the weather improved so that we could eat outside. Good choice at breakfast, attentive staff. No dinner offered in the hotel but the two nearby restaurants recommended by reception were both good and within a short driving distance. Room was medium sized, on the third floor, with a balcony overlooking trees. Comfortable bed, good bathroom. Short drives to a number of pretty medieval towns and the Steam Railway up the Brocken - extremely expensive! 40 euros each but interesting historically.”

“The location is off the beaten path and a nice break from touristy areas. Felt very local and very authentic. It's not far from the town center. The breakfasts were really good and they have a coffee hour in the afternoon. ”

“We stayed there for Christmas night! We had only decided to take the trip a day before, but we actually booked online while on the way there! We got the last room available and they were a little surprised to see guests arriving on the evening of Dec 24th, but they were very welcoming. They checked us in fast, allowing us to pick rooms. Then they got us seats at the Christmas dinner that was already underway. Overall very pleasant experience. Our dog enjoyed the nice park surrounding the mansion.”
