“The rooms were very spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed the communal bath. The location has some fabulous places to explore in the area, and the staff were very knowledgeable about sending our luggage ahead and really helpful, offering ferry timetables and information on the Shimanamikaidan cycle route.”
“The room was beautiful, with excellent views over Onomichi, but no one on staff speaks English, none of the in room literature (menus, onsen info, etc) was in English, so we did the best we could. Public bath is nice, but old building that smells strongly of dried fish. Also many stains on the walls of the room.”
“This hotel is in a great location, overlooking the entire town and harbor, with easy access to temples, walking trails, and other sites. The room (Japanese style with tatami and futon) had a fabulous view, as did the shared bath. Both dinner and breakfast were good (but not truly memorable).”
