“Nicely located but far better options available at better prices. Great linen on the bed and fruit plate is great for midnight cravings. Access to palace grounds at night when it's quiet is great for photography.”
“A remarkable beautiful, palatial hotel but affordable. Could not have a better location, the City Palace is right on the property. Marvelous hotel!”
“Nothing, This place is a trap for tourists! AVOID!!!!!!!”
“People were brilliant; location exceptional - this is where the Maharaja lives! The Palace is a tourist attraction with many visitors daily but the hotel part is secluded so does not impact on enjoyment of stay. The upgraded terrace rooms are definitely worth staying in. The front faces a lovely pool area and the rear of the room has a balcony that faces the city and provides an elevated view of the surroundings.”
“The hotel is very nice. I felt I was in a palace and it gave that feeling and ambiance. The staff is very helpful and ready to do anything... infact i wanted traditional Rajashthani breakfast and they went and prepared just for me. It was very touching... and the food was excellent.”
“Just the location. Nice swimming pool. Staff/management hotel did have some extra for our honeymoon (bottle of wine and chocolate)”
“What a fabulous place to stay. As a part of the old palace it could do with some repair but that did not distract from the amazing stay that we had. The welcome was genuine, the rooms spotless, possibly the cleanest place I have ever stayed, the food delicious and the staff amazingly welcome and attentive. The location at the side of the palace was excellent. I absolutely loved this hotel and fully intend to return”
“NOTHING OTHER THAN FERRY AVAILABLE ON MULTIPLE REQUEST”
“The best part is location. And the service was excellent.”
“Shiv Niwas Palace has a unique location a palace complex alongside a few other palaces; each with its own distinct character. If you have seen James Bond's Octopussy (1983) then you will recognise that the hotel featured in the film along with the Lake Palace Hotel and Jagmandir Palace. The latter can be visited for dinner after a short ride.”
